Bihar Public Service Commission will soon be recruiting candidates for the post of Assistant Professor. This is a great opportunity for all the government job aspirants who aspire to be a professor. They will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level classes in their respective colleges.

Application Fee for BPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2020


  • The application fee is Rs 150(Rs 100+ Rs 50 for bank charges) for general category candidates and for all other candidates of other states.

  • The application fee for SC, ST, and Specially Abled candidates belonging to the state of Bihar is Rs 75(Rs 25+ Rs 50 for bank charges).


Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Public Service Commission Assistant Professor Recruitment 2020


The candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria of the post before applying for the same.


  • Age Criteria: The maximum age limit of the candidates is 45 years for  General Category candidates. It is 48 years for Scheduled Caste candidates and 50 years for Scheduled Tribe candidates.

  • There is no minimum age limit to apply for the post of Assistant Professor.

  • Educational Criteria: The candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the subject to which they are applying for.



Selection Process for BPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment


The Selection Process for BPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment comprises a written examination and an interview. Candidates have to clear the written examination to be eligible for the interview. There will be additional marks for Awards, Paper Presentations, etc. Guest lecturers working in the same organization will also be awarded extra marks. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the merit list. The final merit list will take into account the marks scored in the written exam, interview, educational qualification, and previous experience.



BPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment Results


The Commission will release BPSC Assistant Professor Results after a few months of the exam. The cut-offs will also be released by the Commission. The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of the final merit list.


The BPSC Assistant Professor Results can be downloaded from the official website of the Commission, www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/. Candidates will need to provide their login credentials to check the results. They can download the results as well for their future reference.
